Welcome to the Veterans Assistance Program!

Due to measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are limiting applications to this portal only.  Please be patient as we attempt to answer all questions in the order they come in.  We expect the number of requests to increase due to the lack of income.  We understand that the process may take longer due to the inability to physically go and take care of obtaining some of these documents that you may not have on your person presently.  We will be as clear in our communication as we can, as long as you respond ly and politely.

For any questions that cannot be communicated through this portal, please use foundation@texasvfw.org so that all staff have access to your question.

The purpose of this program is to assist eligible Texas veterans with basic living needs.  This is an automated application process, and is applicant driven.  Once your application is complete, you will be able to submit your application.

You will need a copy of your DD-214, copy of your Texas Driver's License or ID, copy of your most recent tax return, and copies of the bills you are seeking assistance with.  You will also need the name and email address of a Veteran Agency Point of Contact (TVC Claims Benefits Advisor, County Service Officer, case worker, etc.). IMPORTANT NOTE: Texas VFW Foundation and Fund for Veterans Assistance employees CANNOT be used as a Veteran Agency Point of Contact.

This is not an entitlement program based on veteran status.  This program does NOT provide emergency funds.

Not every applicant will be approved.  All decisions are final, and not subject to appeal.

On behalf of the Texas VFW Foundation, its donors, and its Board of Directors, we thank you for your service!
